Review on Sherlock Holmes : the Hound of Baskerville

The Hound of Baskervilles is the third of the four crime novels written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle featuring sherlock holmes. Originally serialised in the strand magazine from August 1901 to April 1902 . It is set on Dartmoor in Devon in England and tells the story of an attempted murder inspired by the legend of a fearsome diabolical hound of supernatural origin. Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson insvestigates the case and this was the first appearance after his apparent death in the book " The Final Problem".It was a best loved novel of UK IN 1999. This idea came to Doyle from the legend of Richard Cabell which was written on 1677. This novel uses many traditional novelistic techniques which had been largely abandoned by the time of writing such as letters,diary extracts,and interpolated manuscripts .Over 20 films and television versions of the Hound of Baskervilles have been made. The Hound of Baskervilles has been adapted to The BBC Radio also.
